World record attempt - To celebrate
the BMFA's centenary the BMFA organised an attempt at a world record
for having the greatest number of model aircraft in the air at one time. This
took place on 15th May at noon. NVA Contributed 13 to the national
number - pictures and details to follow.
****
The Electric Fun-Fly competition
also took place on 15th May. The overall winner was John Turner.
Detailed results are on the comps page and pictures will appear in
the gallery sometime soon.

2022 competitions calendar added
****
Please note that the code for access
to the car park will change on (or very soon after) 1st Jan
2022. The new number is on the 2022 membership card. If you have
paid and have yet to receive your card, please contact John
(07775-938631) or Alan. There is no gate (and hence no number)
to the forest track.
****
Please note that your new (very long) CAA opertor number must be
displayed on all models but the CAA has confirmed that this new
number will NOT be changed every year. The CAA regrets that this
number is so long but it is regulated by an EU directive that the UK
(DoT) agreed adopt since the UK formally left the EU.
(if it is any consolation, the guy
from the CAA also thinks the length of the number is daft)
****
-* By now all members should have
received their CAA operator ID number. No model should take to the
air without this number on the aircraft is accordance with the CAA's
requirements. These can be found here
https://register-drones.caa.co.uk/labelling-your-drone-or-model-aircraft
* The code to the flying field gate was
changed on 1st January every year. The new code is on the membership card. The code to the electric forest gate
(when it's working) or a combination lock when fitted, remains unchanged. Any questions contact a member
of the committee or click
here
to e-mail.
