What's New

New A link on the email I recently sent out regarding changes to the constitution may not work, if so try this

As we are now on GMT, the group that has been meeting on Wednesday afternoons will now meet on Wednesday mornings.

The date for the 2023 AGM has been changed to Wednesday 6th December

The Rookie comp was (eventually) run on Sunday 8th October. It was close, but congratulations go to to Guy Bowden who took the trophy home. Full results are on the competitions page and pictures are in the gallery.

A BBQ was held on Sunday 17th Sept - Picture in the gallery

IC Fun-Fly was held on Sunday 10th Sept - Congratulations to Mick Addington for winning the trophy!. Results on the Comps page, pics in the gallery.

The Rookie 2 comp did not take place on Sunday 23rd July as planned due to poor weather conditions. An attempt will be made to run the competition later in the year. Keep a check on this page and the competitions page for details.

Several NVA members attended a fly-in and BBQ at Northampton club's field on Sunday 9th July. Pictures will will eventually appear in the gallery.

The Electric Fun-Fly comp was held on Sunday 14th May. Congratulations to Mike Wilson for winning the trophy. The full results are on the "Competitions" page and pictures are in the gallery.

Please note that the gate codes will be changed sometime today (1 Jan) - The new number can be found on your 2023 membership card and applies to the car park and outfield gates.

Those wishing to renew their membership can do so by bank transfer. The 2023 fees can be found on the 2023 membership application form which can be downloaded by clicking on the moving banner above.

- The 2022 AGM was held on 6th Dec at the Aviator Hotel Sywell - 15 members attended (including the committee). The club fees for 2023 were approved - these can be found on the 2023 Membership Application Form by clicking on the moving banner above. Members renewing their membership need not send an application form unless contact details have changed.

- Provisional competition dates for 2023 have been added to the "Competitions" page. If  any members espies any "date-clashes" I have missed, please let me know. Dates will be confirmed during January 2023.

Please note that your new (very long) CAA opertor number must be displayed on all models but the CAA has confirmed that this new number will NOT be changed every year. The CAA regrets that this number is so long but it is regulated by an EU directive that the UK (DoT) agreed adopt since the UK formally left the EU. (if it is any consolation, the guy from the CAA also thinks the length of the number is daft)

- By now all members should have received their CAA operator ID number. No model should take to the air without this number on the aircraft is accordance with the CAA's requirements. These can be found here

Only those that have indicated that they would like to be on our mailing list will receive update e-mails from NVA - contact the webmaster if you have any questions.

The 2023 membership form can be downloaded here.

* No member (fixed wing or helicopter) should fly unsupervised unless they hold at least a BMFA "A" certificate . Members wishing to take the relevant test should contact Andy Hibbert or Dave Harbour to arrange a suitable time with an examiner.
